Rooted in Community.
Driven by Justice.

I am Vylma V — a former criminal defense and civil rights attorney with over 20 years of social justice advocacy. A certified meditation teacher, radio host, Bomba/Plena drummer, active runner, and the creator of the V-Method for Empowering Women. I am in my Crone years, and I am on fire. I believe the Crone years can be the very best years of a woman's life — and I have built my entire practice around proving it.

Four Pillars of a
Liberated Woman

Everything Vylma V offers — her legal acumen, her radio work, her teaching, her community — flows from four sacred pillars. Each is a complete world. Together, they are a life on fire.

👁 Vision
Attorney · Coach · Personal Insight Facilitator
Vision is the capacity to see clearly — in the courtroom, in the coaching room, and within yourself. As a civil rights attorney of 20+ years and a certified Personal Insight Facilitator, Vylma V helps women develop the inner clarity to know what they want, advocate for what they deserve, and move through the world with purpose and precision.
🎙 Voice
Radio Host · Political Candidate · Community Advocate
Voice is the courage to speak — on air, in chambers, and in the streets. As the host and producer of Women's Magazine on KPFA 94.1 FM and a candidate for the Berkeley Rent Board, Vylma V models what it looks like when a woman claims her place at every table — and refuses to be quiet at any of them.
🔥 Vesta
V-Method · Meditation Teacher · Goddess Tradition
Vesta is the sacred flame that lives in every woman. The V-Method is how you tend it. Vylma V's original five-part practice has guided women from despair to empowerment — rooted in the maiden-mother-crone tradition, it is an invitation to every woman, especially those in their Crone years, to burn brightest now.

The V-Method for Empowering Women

V is 5 in Roman numerals. Five activities. Practiced together. Consistently. Transformatively.

🧘 Meditation
Whatever form speaks to you — vipassana, mantra, zen. Stillness is the foundation of every transformation.
🏃 Movement
Walking, dancing, running, yoga, gardening. Movement is medicine for the mind and the body — non-negotiable.
🌸 Masturbation
Orgasm is an act of self-knowledge, circulation, and radical self-love. Women's sexual energy is sacred — and it belongs to her.
⚖ Minimize / Maximize
Remove what diminishes you. Amplify what feeds you. Agency is not a concept — it's a daily practice of radical editing.
✨ Meaning
The most powerful of the five. What you decide a situation means is the foundation of how it affects you. Finding meaning — or changing what you are doing because it has become meaningless — is the key that unlocks everything else. Depression is characterized by the absence of meaning. This is how you find your way back to the light.

Classes run 60–90 minutes. V-Circles (groups of 5 women) meet for 6–12 weeks. In English and Spanish.

Housing Justice
for Berkeley.

As an attorney with deep roots in the Berkeley community, I am running for the Berkeley Rent Board to fight for tenants, protect affordable housing, and ensure that Berkeley remains a home for everyone — not just the privileged few.

Strengthening rent control protections for long-term tenants and vulnerable communities
🏠
Holding landlords accountable to fair housing standards and habitability requirements
Centering the voices of women, seniors, and low-income residents in housing policy
